Where are the AI video jobs?
On freelance boards, general job boards and Reddit. This is what each showed on 29 October 2026.

The big totals on Indeed and LinkedIn count every listing that matches the words. The roles that are actually about making AI video are a small share of them.
What do AI video jobs pay?
Upwork’s hiring guide is the clearest public price list. It tells clients to expect these project prices:

Live rates on the same page start lower. Two profiles based in Indonesia list “$5 per hour” (49 jobs, over $20,000 earned) and “$7 per hour” (34 jobs, over $5,000); one in Pakistan lists “$15 per hour” with 536 jobs and over $40,000.
Salaried roles pay more and ask more. On Indeed, Accenture’s AI Video Production Specialist role in New York lists “$59,100 - $154,800 a year”, and an “AI Artist (freelance to hire)” role at CoCreativ in New York lists “$500 - $800 a day”.
What kinds of AI video jobs are there?
Four kinds show up most on the boards we read.
- Ads for brands. A supplement brand on Upwork wants “a video editor to make video ads for Facebook and Instagram”. On LinkedIn, PetLabCo is hiring a “Video Editor & Producer (AI & Performance Ads)”, and another listing reads “AI Video Creator – UGC & Avatars”.
- Avatars and motion control. One Upwork post asks for “RUNWAY ACT 2 & KLING AI MOTION CONTROL” to turn a client’s recordings into an AI avatar.
- Studio and design roles. LinkedIn shows roles such as an AI motion and generative designer in Paris and an “AI Visualization & Video Design Specialist” in Munich.
- Evaluation. Outlier AI’s evaluator listings on Indeed pay up to $15 an hour for “Inspecting outputs closely, including zooming in and replaying, to spot problems like distorted anatomy”.
How do you spot a bad AI video job?
Check the budget against what the video costs you to make. The October Reddit post offering “$10–$15 USD per video” for a daily AI avatar video drew this reply: “Bro your budget doesn’t even cover the token spend required for such a video.” Our tool prices guide helps you work out your cost per clip.
Be careful with free samples. One applicant in the same thread says the poster “Asked me to make a Sample Clip. I did. then he ghosted me.” Send existing work instead of making a new piece for free.
Some low posts are not jobs at all. Two of the $10 Upwork listings we saw were from a company looking for creators to try its new AI video platform, which is product testing.
How do you get hired for AI video work?
- Show three to five finished pieces in the format buyers ask for most: short vertical ads and avatar videos.
- Name the tools in your profile. Posts and profiles we read name Runway, Kling, Seedance and Higgsfield.
- Price the deliverable, not the hour. Upwork’s own guide quotes by project, and so do most clients.
- Be where brands post briefs. Brands send AI video briefs to The Scene Makers, and the Creators group sees them first.

How much do AI video creators earn per hour?
Upwork's own guide says hiring an AI-generated video specialist "generally costs $15-$50 per hour". Live profiles start lower: profiles on the same page listed $5, $7 and $15 an hour.
Are there full-time AI video jobs?
Yes. On 29 October 2026 Indeed listed an AI Video Production Specialist role in New York at $59,100 to $154,800 a year, and LinkedIn showed AI video roles at brands and agencies in Paris, Munich and Dubai.
Where can beginners find AI video work?
Upwork's AI-generated video board has entry-level posts, and Reddit hiring communities such as r/VideoEditor_forhire carry direct posts. The cheapest pay very little, such as $10 to $15 a video, so use them to build a portfolio, not a living.
What is an AI video evaluator job?
It is checking AI-generated clips for mistakes. Outlier AI's listings on Indeed describe "Inspecting outputs closely, including zooming in and replaying, to spot problems like distorted anatomy" and pay up to $15 an hour.

Job board totals are search matches and include roles that only mention AI or video, so treat them as a rough size. Pay figures are what each listing or Upwork's own guide showed that day. Fiverr's AI video listings would not load with prices for us, so Fiverr is left out. The Reddit hiring post and replies are individual posts, quoted as such.
